Ride to Provide for the Levy Association for Retarded Citizens
THANK YOU TO ALL!
Figures just in! We made $9000 for LARC!
There were over 250 motorcycles that participated in this years ride and if we can just get everybody to bring one friend to next year’s ride, wouldn’t that be awesome?
Please check back here in the coming days for details of this years ride.
The “Ride to Provide” was established in 2006 by members of the Levy County Law Enforcement Community and friends who recognized the need to support a very special group, the Levy Association for Retarded Citizens.
All proceeds from this ride benefit LARC. Every dollar raised goes directly to LARC–we keep nothing.
The 2008 RTP is currently being planned. If you would like to help with this awesome cause, feel free to contact Sean Mullins or any of the RTP Staff. We can be reached via e-mail or by phone. Please go to the “contact us page.”
The Levy Association for Retarded Citizens is currently facing some serious budget cuts. We ask for your support by helping us make this year’s RTP one of the largest fundraisers to help them continue with their innovative programs. This can be done by offering to spread the word, post flyers, or give us names of potentional sponsors. Word-of-mouth is one of the best ways to help us to have another successful ride. If you rode with us last year we encourage you to go to our guest book and let others riders know what they missed. As always I would like to hear from you with your thoughts and ideas.
Gainesville Neon and Signs has become our first sponsor of the 2008 Ride to Provide. They are preparing the banners that will be used to promote this years ride. Darryl and his family were supporters of the 2007 Ride to Provide and have continued their support in 2008. It is civic minded businesses like this that make the Ride to Provide a huge success.
Perkins Financial, our original Platinum Sponsor has once again confirmed that they will sponsor this wonderful event. They were the first business to offer their support to the ride and we appreciate their continued support at the highest level of sponsorship.
Magill’s Restaurant in Annandale, VA, owned by Mike Magill and his family, has offered again to support us as a Gold Level sponsor. Even though they’re not from our area, and can expect no increased business from advertising through this event, they believed in LARC and their mission so much that they’ve offered to sponsor us again at the Gold Level.
Williston Greenclovers 4-H Club has pledged to be a Gold Level sponsor–we’re thankful for this generous gift from a wonderful group.
Mike Mullins with Mullins Construction has once again sponsored this event at the Gold Level by his in-kind support. Anything associated with our event that is very well-built was undoubtedly built by Mike.
ICM Printing has returned as a Silver Level sponsor for their in-kind support. Bob Kavanaugh with ICM has supplied us with many, many reams of flyers and business cards.
Jay Crooms Lawn Care has returned as a Silver Level sponsor by supplying the much sought-after cups with the Ride To Provide logo. Thanks, Jay, for your continued support of LARC.
Chiefland Rotary Club has continued their support of the year’s ride by becoming a platinum sponsor - our highest level. It is community oriented organizations like this that make the Ride to Provide such a huge success. Williston Door and Millwork has joined our growing
list of business sponsors at the Bronze level.
Capitol City Bank in Chiefland has joined our cause and has become a Bronze sponsor.
Chiefland Walmart has continued their support at the Silver level.
This year we are blessed to have“Country Cousin” Don Havenwho will provide the entertainment for this years event. Don sings old country music and gospel songs and will be on hand to share his talents with us at Levy ARC.
Thank you for helping us to support this delightful, deserving group of people!
